Coupons and Coupon Codes – How to use them?
Here’s just a quick guide on how to use coupons. It’s a pretty simple process , but sometimes can be confusing.
What are coupons?
A coupon is a means of getting a discount or an offer. They are supplied by stores or manufacturers to promote products.
Types of coupons.
There are 2 main types; instore and online.
Instore Coupons.
Instore coupons will often come in the form of a printable coupon. This can be shown in the merchant store to receive a discount or special offer. Just present the coupon and the shop assistant will scan the barcode and give you your discount.
Online Coupons.
Online coupons are for use on retailer websites or apps. This will come in the form of a coupon code that can be inserted into a promotional box at the checkout.
A coupon code is also known as a promotional coupon code, promo code, discount code, offer code or any variation of this. In practice they are all the same.
There are also different types including:

$ off coupon codes.
Free Shipping coupon codes.
Free gift coupon codes.
Some have minimum order values, such as 25% off when you spend $100.
How to use a coupon code.
Usually the coupon code is used in the final stages of checkout. Usually after you have confirmed the products that you would like to buy. It is usually a box, but sometimes is just text, requiring a click to reveal the coupon code box.
From there it is simply a matter of inserting the code (Usually they are not case sensitive) and hitting ‘return’ or clicking ‘submit’.
In most cases the discount will be automatically taken off with the deducted figure or saving highlighted.
You will then just be able to proceed to the final confirmation and payment page.
